Marc A. Ferrin, D.C.
Dr. Marc A. Ferrin is an experienced chiropractor dedicated to helping patients address pain, improve function, and achieve a better quality of life. A graduate of Logan College of Chiropractic, Dr. Ferrin also earned a bachelor’s degree in human biology, providing him with a strong foundation in anatomy, physiology, and musculoskeletal health.
Dr. Ferrin’s interest in chiropractic care developed from his own experience with a significant upper-extremity injury while competing as a varsity wrestler at the University of Minnesota. After undergoing surgery and rehabilitation for carpal tunnel syndrome, he later experienced similar symptoms in his opposite arm. Chiropractic treatment provided substantial relief and helped restore function, ultimately influencing his decision to pursue a career in chiropractic medicine.
Throughout his career, Dr. Ferrin has cared for patients across a wide range of ages and activity levels. His experience includes helping individuals with back and neck pain, headaches and migraines, shoulder and arm pain, carpal tunnel symptoms, numbness and tingling, chronic musculoskeletal pain, whiplash, and sports-related injuries. His background as a collegiate athlete also gives him a personal understanding of how pain and injury can interfere with mobility, performance, work, and everyday activities.
As a Clinic Director, Dr. Ferrin takes a patient-centered approach to care, focusing on identifying the factors contributing to each patient’s symptoms rather than simply addressing discomfort alone. He works to develop individualized treatment strategies designed to reduce pain, restore mobility and function, and help patients return to the activities that are important to them.
Dr. Ferrin is passionate about educating patients about their health and providing them with the knowledge and resources they need to take an active role in their care. His goal is to provide thoughtful, personalized treatment that supports both immediate relief and long-term musculoskeletal wellness.
Cara Pappas, ND, ACNP-BC, FNP-BC
Dr. Cara Pappas is an experienced nurse practitioner with more than 23 years of clinical experience spanning acute care, family medicine, emergency medicine, and advanced wound care. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) from Florida State University in 1998 before completing her clinical nursing doctorate at the University of South Carolina in 2003, with dual specialties in Acute Care and Family Medicine.
Throughout her career, Dr. Pappas has worked across a diverse range of healthcare settings and specialties, giving her a broad clinical perspective and extensive experience caring for patients with both acute and chronic medical needs. Her professional background includes emergency medicine, vascular surgery and wound care, medical device clinical trials, family medicine, hospital medicine, neurology, sleep medicine, intensive care, and care within the Veterans Affairs (VA) healthcare system.
In addition to her clinical work, Dr. Pappas has contributed to the education and development of future nurses and advanced practice providers. She has taught both undergraduate and graduate nursing students at her alma mater, Florida State University, sharing the practical knowledge and clinical experience she has gained throughout her career.
During the COVID-19 pandemic, Dr. Pappas recognized the significant need for qualified healthcare professionals in underserved communities. From 2020 through 2024, she operated her own company dedicated to staffing nurse practitioners in rural hospitals, helping healthcare facilities maintain access to critical medical services during the COVID surge and its aftermath.
Dr. Pappas has since brought her extensive clinical and leadership experience to Panhandle Wound Care, Inc., which she founded to provide advanced wound care to elderly and medically complex patients. Through services provided in nursing homes and during home visits, she focuses on making specialized wound care more accessible to patients who may have difficulty traveling to a traditional medical office.
With a career encompassing direct patient care, advanced practice nursing, education, healthcare staffing, and entrepreneurship, Dr. Pappas remains committed to providing knowledgeable, compassionate, and accessible care to the patients and communities she serves.
